The last decade has been a TURBULENT one for our national and state economies and York County was no different. Average annual INCOME INCREASED and generally kept up with INFLATION, but is still lower than Pennsylvania's average income. The LARGEST employer is now wholesale, retail, transport and warehousing (edging out MANUFACTURING), and the information, finance and professional services sector took the lead in terms of REVENUE generation.
